The School Aims are translated into reality through the delivery of the British National Curriculum, amended to maximize the advantages of our location. Following this curriculum creates educational mobility, allowing families to transfer easily within British schools wherever they may be located. Our children are presented with a broad and balanced programme of study, appropriately differentiated to cater for the needs of all children.
The curriculum is built around the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. These are supported by the foundation subjects of History, Geography, Religious Education, Art, Music, PE, Design Technology, ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and PSE (Personal and Social Education). French and Urdu are additional subjects in our curriculum.
Different teaching strategies are employed to create opportunities for children to work alone, as part of a group or as a whole class. Total coverage of the relevant programmes of study is ensured through a topic/project based approach to learning, supported by separate subject teaching when appropriate.
There is a carefully structured homework programme, gradually increasing the demands placed upon children as they progress through the school.
