The British Overseas School enjoys the unique status of being an independent selective private school. There are no restrictions on applications.

The Admissions process includes:

 For children of  Year One onwards, an assessment in Numeracy and Literacy
▪
 An interview with the future Class Teacher
▪
 For children of  Year 7 onwards an assessment in Mathematics, English and Science
▪
 An interview with a senior Teacher
